Welcome to the CIO50 2017
Welcome to the second annual CIO50 list for 2017 where we recognise Australia’s top 50 technology and digital chiefs who are influencing rapid technology-driven change and innovation across their organisations.
The team at CIO Australia have been impressed with stories – across many industries – of how IT groups are demonstrating the true value that technology innovations can bring to their organisations.
Unmistakably, CIOs are transforming to become business strategists, cleverly adopting innovation and continually shifting towards an ICT visionary role. No doubt, the CIO’s responsibilities have switched from managing cost centres to a stronger business orientation.
We have 38 new nominations in 2017 that made their way into the top 50 list. These c-level executives are leading IT teams inside organisations in a range of industries including financial services, insurance, healthcare, gambling, media, government, education, IT, transport, utilities, manufacturing, retail, not for profit and real estate.
Their projects are increasingly making use of highly innovative technologies in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, virtual and augmented reality and more.
We hope you enjoy reading these compelling stories of technology transformation and leadership across these highly innovative organisations and government agencies.
