Job Description
The client is the leading distributor of direct Insurance products in the Australian insurance market, a profitable, growing business. They have an enviable supportive culture, brand new state-of-the-art offices and gym on-site.
Purpose of the role:
Manage the end-to-end delivery of projects which are highly integrated and working towards achieving broad business objectives. Ensure that all assigned projects and the overall program of projects are successfully delivered through consistent use of the project delivery framework.
The Project team is responsible for all projects, ensuring that the business operates at an optimal level without disruption to customers. The team focuses on two project levels:
Technical Projects:The team focuses on managing end to end delivery of the technical projects related to areas such as:
- Production support and development and small enhancements to systems
- Application upgrades of systems, such as Evolve/PA, Verint, Claims (PINK)
- Systems infrastructure upgrade projects
- System enhancements to resolve compliance and audit issues which may arise
Strategic (Product & Partner Initiatives):
The team focuses on managing end to delivery of projects with new and existing product and partner brands on a strategic level. Teamwork across all departments of the business to ensure the role out of these changes are completed without disruption to the business or customers.
Position Requirements:
Essential:
- Project Management experience of 2-5 years
- Prior Domain knowledge of CRM and contact centre applications
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant applied industry experience
- Experience applying project management methodologies and standard SDLC frameworks (Waterfall and Agile), including business analysis, design, development, testing, transition to production etc.
- Experience in creating appropriate documents for every stage of a project
- An analytical thinker with highly developed problem-solving skills
- Customer focused with demonstrable experience of meeting service standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact and articulate within a diverse group consisting of senior managers and subject matter experts
- Proven ability to motivate and influence stakeholders to gain agreement to proposed solutions
- Ability to work towards tight deadlines while being resilient and collaborative; and remain calm under pressure
- Highly developed planning, resource management, risk and issues management skills
- Team player with a collaborative approach
- Competent IT literacy (including Microsoft applications i.e. Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Word and Visio)
- Able to exude enthusiasm and energy
Desirable:
- Knowledge of financial services industry
- Exposure to ITIL and IT Operations
