Job Description

Our client, a major NSW Government agency is seeking to engage an experienced Program Manager to work on a large Asset Data Resolution Program of work; standardise asset data requirements, and to resolve gaps in data aligned to the agency whole of life-cycle asset management framework.

The high level project scope will include:

  • Establish Data Governance framework and governance processes and procedures for the management of data quality aligned to ISO 8000 series of published standards - (global standard for Data Quality and Enterprise Master)
  • Establish Master Data processes and data hierarchy suitable for Asset Management that meets the requirements of ISO 55001 (standard for Asset Management) asset whole of life-cycle management
  • Determine the current and future state reporting requirements aligned to Asset Management KPI's and establish the analytics and reporting capability to support delivery of business analytics
  • Determine the current state of Data and the gaps in data requirements against the ISO standards in existing systems that include ServiceNow and SAP RE
  • Determine the future state data requirements aligned to ISO55001 standard for Asset Management
  • Establish processes with the Network and Operations business unit and Major Program to collect and hand over required data for new sites as they become operational
  • Support other asset related compliance projects to resolve gaps in data currency
  • Manage the clean-up and update of existing sites that are already in operation to align site data to the updated standard
  • Review and update the Data requirements and processes for the transition of existing service provides to new contract arrangements
  • Map processes with Managed Network Service Provider on the update of data across the asset life-cycle
  • Manage minor system enhancements to multiple systems to enable the correct capture of data
  • Resolve the transition of data from the managed network service provider operational systems to the Agency's systems

Key Requirements / Experience:

  • Manage and deliver overall Asset Data Resolution Program scope of works
  • 10+ years' experience in implementing Data Governance Capability at an enterprise level including developing strategy and converting to execution
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders to plan, develop, and launch Master Data Management and Governance Framework and implement Master Data Management strategy, capability, processes and procedures across the organisation
  • Develop a continuous improvement culture for enterprise data quality, enhancing data architecture, formalising organizational policies and standards, and developing data governance processes, metrics, and related tools
  • Work with executives and third-party providers to understand organisational strategic objectives and the data requirements to support achieving objectives
  • Develop organisational Master Data Management Capabilities, Data Governance structures, and Data and Analytics Strategies to support organisational objectives
  • Investigate and document Data Risk, Data Dictionary and MetaData in alignment with the Agency's Asset Management Strategy
  • Manage data initiative requirements, resources and vendor management of technical Data deliverable's including managing technical experts to resolve and align data to the Agency's Asset Management and compliance requirements
  • Perform Data Risk assessment aligned to the Agency's risk and resilience requirements to understand and document the Agency's data challenges
