Job Description

The company

This health organisation provides key information in the form of reports for clinicians across hospitals and allied health to benchmark their performance against key indicators. They now require another Project Manager to join this close knit team of 6, responsible for the quality of information produced in these reports and engaging and facilitating discussions with clinicians to discuss the findings.

Currently they work from home and come into the office 1 day per fortnight, this will eventually increase to 1 day per week in the office.

The role

This role will manage, implement, monitor and co-ordinate clinical advisory groups, as well as design, implement and evaluate projects focusing on improving outcomes; ensuring these projects meet identified needs and realise maximum benefits for the health system. The role is required to work collaboratively with the wider Quality System Performance team and across the organisation to lead, facilitate, design and implement quality improvement and performance reviews.

Working closely with the analysts you will scope the requirements for the projects, managing all aspects of project delivery, coordinating resources, undertaking research, determining what data is needed and identify associated risks eg time delays. You will also ensure adherence to quality standards and regulations.

You will be required to appraise various data and research from journals, articles and international best practice guidelines. The role is very fast paced and you will often be working across several projects to determine data requirements.

You will also be required to facilitate discussions with clinicians, and ensure the website features correct and uptodate information relative to the findings.

Essential requirements

  • Experience researching and producing reports, previous experience writing academic reports (eg as part of a Masters in Health) will be sufficient
  • Understanding and clinical experience in the health system and capacity to critically appraise research and interpret clinical and population health data and information.
  • Experience working closely with clinicians and facilitating discussions
  • Some experience working on quality improvement projects within the health framework, some change and project management methodology would also be beneficial
