My Higher Education client is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager who has experience implementing and integrating enterprise payroll systems. The project aims to upgrade the existing Ascender Payroll system and integrate with Workday as part of a broader HR Systems Program. Working closely with the HR and Payroll teams as part of the Human Capital Management Program and in partnership with the PMO, this role will need to understand the complexities of the payroll function within a large complex organisation. The project will involve working with vendors, understanding payroll and related processes and supporting the successful change in the organisation.
As part of the Project Delivery team, you will work closely with university stakeholders including the PMO to support the delivery of key strategic outcomes.
You will be a seasoned Project Manager who has worked in the education sector, preferably in other Universities or other large, complex public sector environments. Your project experience will have included delivering payroll systems projects which integrate with Workday.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong stakeholder management and facilitation, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels, including senior management. You will have IT vendor management experience, strong financial skills and have experience working with a central PMO.

Essential Requirements / Selection Criteria:
- Hold Prince2 or PMBOK accreditation.
- Extensive experience as a Project Manager supporting high-scale transformational projects, ideally in a University Environment.
- Demonstrated experience delivering payroll systems implementations integrating with Workday.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to engage and facilitate effective conversations with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working with a PMO.
- Familiarity with Ascender is an advantage but not essential
You must be either an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident to be considered for this role.
