This high profile government client is currently undergoing a large digital transformation program encompassing multiple projects across the digital/IT area. They have a requirement for an experienced Project Office Manager to assist the project managers (3) with all project related activities.
The role is similar to a PMO manager however does not sit within the PMO, it will be instead central within the digital transformation project itself.
You will support the project managers with benefits realisation/management, risks and issues, budgets, governance, schedules ensuring the projects are adhering to the project management delivery framework.
You will provide advice and direction in appropriate project management techniques and methodologies, implementing best practice and providing appropriate reports.
This role would suit someone who either has previous experience managing a PMO or a Project Manager who has worked across multiple projects and who is very strong with methodologies/frameworks and governance.
- At least 6- 7 years' experience working with IT related projects
- It is essential you have experience with benefits management plans/benefit realisation
- Knowledge of PPM tools - ideally Smartsheet
- Strong knowledge of project methodologies ie Prince2, Agile
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder engagement
The role is initially a 6 month contract with likely extension.
