Job Description
Well-known organisation with superb reputation currently require an experienced Project Scheduler. Reporting into the Manager of PMO - Technology, the project scheduler is a critical role with a project portfolio of over $40m+.
The role
Immediately available role, responsible for a large portfolio of projects - c$40m+
- Includes 30 PM's, 60+ projects and 15 resource managers and all the associated schedules
Schedule, Resource and Cost Estimation
- Work with senior project managers, Program Managfers to create detailed project and master schedulers
- prepare detailed resourcing plans, project and master schedules and cost estimates
- Assist in estimation and risk assessments
- Participate in workshops and meetings specific to developing project schedules, resource plans and or cost forecasts
- Plan scheduling activities and resourcing
- Identify and communicate resourcing risks and issues
- Resolve interdependencies
- Develop strategies to mitigate issues, perform project 'health checks'
Reporting & Documentation
- Ensure quality management controls are applied
- Provide timely visibility of project baselines and how projects, programs are tracking
Essential skills (please only apply if you have the following)
- 5-10 years' experience as a Master/Project Scheduler
- Must have had experience looking after a similar scale of projects - c$40m+
- Superior skills in developing and maintaining accurate schedules, resource plans and costing information at a project, program and portfolio level utilizing project management / scheduling tools
- Proven capacity to effectively manage the competing resourcing, planning and funding demands of concurrent projects within a Portfolio, identifying potential solutions to emerging resourcing or scheduling conflicts or emerging cost / schedule overruns or risks;
- Demonstrated ability to embrace change;
- Previous experience working with both agile and waterfall based project management approaches, as well as human-centred design techniques, would be advantageous.
- Clarity, MS Project, Primavera or similar
- Project Management Certification (Prince II, PMBOK. Agile)
- Good governance combined with flexible way of thinking
- Gov/Education background could be favourable
- Strong team player, excellent communication, organisation and influencing skills
