Job Description

Higher Education client is looking for 2 Senior Project Managers for a large program of work which is likely to go for 3 years. This Fixed Term Hire will pay up to $158k base depending on experience plus 17% super. The initial term is for 12 months initially with a view to extend.

Looking for solid PM's who have courage, are hands-on and have good engagement and project management skills. ServiceNow experience is desirable but not mandatory.

The Role:

The Senior Project Manager will lead the management and coordination of a number of projects of a major strategic program, Enterprise Service Management Program,

This program will underpin and transform the delivery of services through a single point of access. It will deliver digitially transformed, professional service processes across the organisation - reducing manual work and freeing resources to focus on higher-value activities. ​Technology is a core element in ensuring that we create an optimal user experience for all their staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful delivery of concurrent and often complex projects from concept to closure within scope, time, budgetary, policy and resourcing constraints;
  • Effectively build and sustain solid working relationships with a wide range of project stakeholders across a variety of Faculties and business units within the University;
  • Provide timely and accurate information and reports specific to the performance of projects to the Program Manager, ITD Management, senior business owners, and project sponsors;
  • Leverage agile and customer centric approaches in designing and implementing technology solutions that are of strategic and operational benefit to the University;
  • Apply contemporary project and change management methodologies.

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in managing project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to an agreed quality standards;
  • Proven capacity to effectively manage the competing resourcing, planning and funding demands of concurrent and complex projects;
  • Proven ability to monitor and accurately report on project performance metrics including budgets, schedules, risks, scope, work completion rates and quality;
  • Superior interpersonal skills including a proven ability to motivate, influence, persuade and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels within the University on project related matters;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver detailed reports, briefings and presentations on projects under delivery to a variety of audiences;
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Superior knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and governance;
  • ServiceNow knowledge and experience would be advantageous
