The company
This high profile government agency is seeking a solid all-rounder to work in their busy IT support team. Its internal customers are at the top of their game, and require any IT issues to be solved in a professional manner at all times.

The role
Working in a team of approx 5-6 people including one other Senior Support Analyst and 3-4 junior support analysts your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Be an escalation point for the junior analysts, assisting them with any technical queries they are unable to handle themselves, dealing with the more complex calls
  • Assist with training and up skilling the juniors, and generally mentoring them to pass on your skills and knowledge
  • Work closely with the infrastructure team, fixing any issues with testing from a user perspective
  • Assisting with calls/tickets during busy periods
  • Working on various small projects

Essential requirements:
  • Customer service is essential, you must be able to deal with any issues or difficult calls in a calm and respectful manner
  • Excellent communication skills, easily understood on the phone
  • At least 2-3 years' experience with:
    • servers,
    • active directory,
    • exchange,
    • Cisco CUCM (if possible),
    • understanding of networks and troubleshooting.
  • Great team ethic and be willing to step in and help when required
  • Must be willing to share their knowledge, deal with difficult calls and have excellent communication skills
  • The role will initially be for 6 months however there is a strong change it will be extended or eventually go to a permanent position.
