Our client is an Australian success story that delivers innovative solutions. Their solutions are used all over Australia and beyond with the aim to improve the customer experience. We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to join the team.

Role:
The Systems and Development Manager will be responsible for managing the Systems Department. Reporting to the COO and as part of the senior management team, this role has full responsibility for the Development Team, Cyber Security, Cloud Environments, Product Roadmap and System Architecture. This role will be accountable for setting, communicating, and driving the technical side of the business, and ensuring that all Systems and Development teams meet their deliverables and quality targets.

Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Technology, or equivalent related experience.
Experience:
  • 4+ years in a Development Management or Development Director role.
  • 4+ years in a cross-functional Management role (including Cloud Infrastructure and Cyber Security functions).
  • Experience working in similar role managing the delivery of systems; leading teams of developers in a cross-functional context.
  • Experience in an applications development / database systems development role, supporting end-users in a multi-user environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Leadership and team building skills, able to build strong relationships with employees, management and executives.
  • Ability to work effectively with a broad customer base and range of internal stakeholders, and influence when necessary.
  • Able to align strategies and ideas and translate strategy and business to technical requirements.
  • Able to leverage deep technical and domain expertise to design and create products that meet and anticipate business and customer needs.
