Job Description
This well-known University is working on several digital solutions as part of a transformation for their students. Part of this is a new Graduate Research Academy Digital Solution and Research Data Analytics project.
The role
As a Technical Business Analyst with extensive experience working on data analytics projects you will be responsible for:
- Drive the elicitation of business and technical requirements from consultation and information gathering sessions with stakeholders and Data Analysts.
- Lead the assessment and translation of business requirements into technical specifications including data models, workflows and process diagrams (e.g. Business Intelligence solutions).
- Conduct investigative work, including system impact analysis, to identify appropriate and practical solutions which meet the needs of the business, align to enterprise standards, and ensure that the team can deliver outcomes.
- Act as a liaison point between stakeholders and technical specialists to ensure accurate and timely identification and communication of business needs and clarification of issues.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Data Warehouse metadata, tables and models, as well as provide advice to Data Analysts and stakeholders on data availability and utilisation.
Essential requirements:
Some focus key areas for the position are as follows:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and business requirement gathering capability
- Strong data analytics technical background as a BA with databases, SQL, PowerBI, Snowflake
- Data mapping, modelling (ideal if they have Erwin experience, but will consider if they don't have it but very strong otherwise)
- End to end data analytics project delivery experience (involved in all aspects of the delivery)
