Our client is a highly respected organisation based in Sydney with multiple projects running throughout IT and the business.

The Role

Our client is actively seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to work within their EPMO who can act as a champion for scheduling best practice and provide high quality scheduling services. The Master Scheduler will be responsible for the following:
  • Work with the project team to support the development of the "scope in time" picture of the project that reflects the team's vision of how the project objectives will be delivered, and to work with the Project / Program Manager to gain consensus by all parties involved
  • Act as a facilitator, assembling information from the project team into a cohesive schedule, 'owned' by the Project Manager and the project team. They will integrate and test the information provided for logic and completeness
  • Maintain the integrity of the project schedules and the schedule data
  • During the execution stages of the project, they will support the Project Manager, by participating in the project team meetings in order to maintain and optimise the schedule, and advising the project team on performance based on the agreed schedule performance reports
  • Continuous improvement of project delivery
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Resource Manager to identify and forecast portfolio and pipeline resource requirements, in order to effectively balance the portfolio capacity demand and supply

Required Skills and Experience
  • Ideally a minimum of 5 years of Master scheduling experience
  • Extensive experience with MS Project
  • Experience with CA Clarity PPM tool
  • Proven experience with complex project planning, forecasting and product development programs
  • Experience coordinating and supporting multiple schedules across a diverse program of work
  • Mandatory understanding of multiple Project Management Methodologies (i.e. PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with project delivery stakeholders and excellent customer oriented collaborative approach
  • Strong analytical competency
  • Qualifications in Project Management

7 month initial contract with a strong possibility of further extension or an ongoing role beyond. Rate up to $985.50 inclusive of superannuation (commensurate with skills and experience).
