My client is a highly regarded organisation that specialises in the design, marketing, distribution and administration of personal insurance products. They offer products in the term life, funeral, income protection and pet insurance markets.

About the role

Our client is actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead, plan and execute IT and business related projects from scoping through to delivery, ensuring business objectives are achieved.

Skills and experience required to perform in the role:
  • Extensive Project Management (typically more than five (5) years)
  • Prior Domain knowledge of CRM, Sales, contact centre applications, SDLC, Client Server technologies, hosted environments and digital marketing
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant applied industry experience
  • Experience applying project management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) will be highly regarded
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with consistent application of project framework at each stage of delivery
  • Ability to work independently with project stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to interact and articulate within a diverse group consisting of senior managers and subject matter experts
  • An analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a flexible and decisive approach
  • Proven ability to motivate and influence stakeholders to gain agreement to proposed solutions
  • A strong commercial acumen and an appreciation for the commercial drivers of the business
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines while being resilient and collaborative; and remain calm under pressure
  • Experience in managing projects involving external vendors
  • Understanding of SDLC, including business analysis, design, development, testing, transition to production etc.
  • Highly developed planning, resource management, risk and issues management skills
  • Competent IT literacy (including Microsoft applications i.e. Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Word and Visio)
  • Experience liaising with key stakeholders, including Senior Management
  • Experience coordinating consensus outcomes (or similar) will be highly regarded
  • Experience in creating appropriate documents for every stage of a project
  • Able to exude enthusiasm and energy
  • Medium sized organisation in significant growth mode

  • Permanent opportunity, paying a base salary in the region of $110 - $125K base plus superannuation on top
